Kiran Ambassador Tutoring Programme

Background

Kiran Foundation is committed to educate, empower, and establish communities by promoting academic excellence, family income support, and community mobilization through shared values and simulated processes.  Kiran Foundation has taken upon itself to serve the society.  We aim to create role models amongst these children that would influence other fellow students to strive to change their futures.

To change the mindset of children, the school adopted a new technique called Kiran Ibtedai School, which is a mother-child empowerment programme.  This programme prepares toddlers through a holistic 2-year mother-child pre-school programme.  In ten years we have successfully placed 120 children in Cambridge schools including Habib Public School, Generations, Haque Academy, Arts and Science Academy, Head Start and Dawood Public School. The eldest of the children have recently completed 7th standard in their respective schools.  The academic challenges they face at their schools requires sincere tutoring and support, as they are unable to receive this at their homes. We at Kiran run an evening coaching school in Lyari, which caters to support younger classes.  However, children above 5th grade require competent Cambridge teachers for academic help, which is not available in Lyari.

About the Programme

Kiran Ambassador Tutoring Programme was initiated to provide 39 Kiran Ambassadors with a coaching programme to improve their core skills in English and Math.  The ultimate goal was for the learners to restart their school in August with a better understanding of the subjects they struggle in.  Moreover, learners also received tips and tricks on various study techniques to help them establish their own self-study methods.
